The Missing Hue
A downloadable game
About the game:
The Missing Hue is a 2D top-down game about an adventure in an odd town. Players will act as a "soul traveller", gradually unveiling the truth of the story.
Game background:
This is an ideal “utopian” city. Here, people regard negative emotions as something undesirable and use a mysterious process known as “Emotional Purification” to seal sadness, fear, and pain beyond the city walls. The people within the city possess only joy, peace, courage, and hope, making everything appear perfect.
A “Soul Traveller,” who possesses the ability to see human souls, arrives in the city by chance, only to discover that the city has daylight—but no night. As she interacts with the residents, she gradually uncovers a disturbing truth: stripped of their negative emotions, the people’s souls have become incomplete, while the emotions sealed beyond the city may not have disappeared at all.
Determined to uncover the truth, the Soul Traveller embarks on a journey to explore this seemingly “perfect” city.
Game Mechanics:
The game's core system revolves around the protagonist's full range of emotions, resonating with other negative feelings to break the seal.
Specific mechanics: When the protagonist resonates, spherical orbs appear, each representing a different soul color. Collecting these orbs completes the emotion recovery process. Multiple soul-colored orbs appear in a single emotion recovery scene; successfully resonating with all of them results in success.
The negative emotions to retrieve: Sadness, anger, fear
